Killing Commendatore by Haruki Murakami is Audiobook Of The Week

Haruki Murakami’s new book Killing Commendatore is a safe bet when it comes to my pick as Audiobook Of The Week. I’ve been a long time fan of Haruki Murakami. This new audiobook didn’t let me down and the narration from Kirby Heyborne is really great and vivid. The audiobook is set for US release the 10th of October.

Killing Commendatore is dividing reviewers. Some are raving about it and some thinks it’s too long and the books homage to The Great Gatsby simply too much, or maybe the book is even boring or simply bad like this reviewer at British newspaper The Guardian. Well I disagree.

For me reading Murakami has always been about buying into the premise that the writer suggests. It’s not a easy premise, but I think its original and interesting. This is a book that will stir some debate among critics. I think that’s a good thing.
